La variedad de temas en las comunicaciones leídas y que ahora se recogen en este libro, ponen de manifiesto los intereses de los autores, y a su vez, delatan las preocupaciones de los jóvenes traductores. En este sentido, encontramos temas que discurren desde una problemática generalizadora sobre la teoría de la traducción y la práctica de la actividad "traslaticia", hasta propuestas metodológicas que tratan sobre la adscripción de la traducción a otros campos del saber o de su nuevo estatus como disciplina independiente, y de la adecuada recreación global del texto original en la lengua y cultura meta, respectivamente.
