Esta obra describe el dialecto canario hablado en el estado Estadounidense de Luisiana, donde vive una comunidad de isleños (así se denominan a sí mismos) descendientes de canarios emigrantes a aquellas tierras hace más de 200 años.
 
This work describes the Canarian dialect spoken in the state of Louisiana, where there is a community of isleños, as they call themselves, which are descendants of the Canarian immigrants who arrived to the American shores more than 200 years ago.
