Sin conocimientos, aunque sea a nivel básico, de componentes pasivos, tipos de señales, leyes de Kirchoff y rudimentos del análisis de redes, el alumno no podrá comprender el funcionamiento de circuito electrónico alguno. Esa es la razón por lo que el primer capitulo de este manual se titula “Magnitudes y circuitos eléctricos”. En el mismo se definen las magnitudes fundamentales que van a manipularse durante el curso: tensión, corriente, resistencia y potencia; además se dan a conocer sus símbolos, así como sus unidades de medida en el sistema internacional.

Without knowledge of passive components, signal types, Kirchoff laws and basic principles of network analysis, the student will not understand the functioning of any electronic circuit. That is the reason that the first chapter of this manual is entitled "Magnitudes and electric circuits", it defines the fundamental quantities that will be handled during the course: voltage, current, resistance and power; we show their symbols, as well as their units of measure in the international system.
